No, to be honest, I don't. You had a fresh start here, you didn't need to lie to compound that. And stealing your file... I wouldn't have used it to hurt you. I swear.

I do have a fresh start. I'm taking that seriously. And I'm using it to become who I might have been, if so many things in my old life hadn't gotten in my way.

Not all of it. I know that sometimes things just-- happen.

[She hesitates, but lets him take her hand.]

[He squeezes her hand.]

[She relaxes, releasing a breath.]

Are you going to hold onto the file now that you've read it?

Well, yes. I'll keep it in my cabin. I can't leave it out where people might find it.

I'd rather not talk about it at all. There's nothing in there that I want to think about.

I've done the hard part, boss. I've had my change of heart. I think the Admiral's just waiting me out - waiting to see if I'll stick to it. And I have.

You haven't killed anyone here, no. But you are very quick to explain away any bad decisions you make. Even here. I do think that's a bad habit.

Of course I haven't killed anyone.

[A look of distress flits across her face.]

No, you've never been actively violent, that's true. But you have been other negative things.

I really don't think we need to harp on this.
